Poor, Helpless Little Dragon

[The premise may change. The published story will be the final word!]

On the first day of school at Monster High, the shortest and slimmest girl in the class steps up to introduce herself.

She rises on tiptoe, barely managing to peek over the lectern, and says softly, "Hello, everyone. My name is Long Xiaoxiao, and I'm a half-dragon. I'm the weakest in my family. My older siblings all bully me, and my parents won't even give me money for tuition or living expenses. I have to earn my own way through school, and I can only afford half a steamed bun per meal..."

The other monsters, who average six feet tall: "Holy crap, that's so sad!"

The two-meter-tall ferocious beast: "I could swallow someone like her in one bite."

Some time later...

After martial arts class, the monster students lie on the ground, groaning: "To hell with being the weakest!"

The ferocious beast: "I was wrong. I get it now. I can't swallow her. I can't even take one punch from her."

Some time after that...

"To hell with being so poor she can only eat steamed buns! She's got a cave full of gold! Stop treating her to meals, everyone! Compared to her, we're the poor ones!"

I'm just an ordinary dragon, weak, pitiful, helpless, and completely unarmed. I'm so poor I can barely afford to eat, and every day I think about how to make money.

But why is everyone afraid of me?
