The Jian family is one of the four great vampire clans. The two brothers are opposites. One is gentle, with a beauty that makes even women jealous, yet the family refuses to acknowledge him. They call him a bastard, and he has never even had a surname. He can only swallow his grievances and become a shadow, secretly protecting the younger brother he loves most. The other is cold and domineering, the object of desire for vampires and mortal women alike. An accident in childhood turned him into a pure-blood vampire, setting him on a very different path in life. To make his younger brother capable of inheriting the family, he repeatedly fights him. As the brothers clash, sparks of love begin to fly between them. But how can this forbidden love continue? One mystery after another comes to light, making them want to give up; one conspiracy after another leaves them nowhere to turn; misunderstanding after misunderstanding keeps them apart; and layer upon layer of hidden identities puts them at odds. How can they ever be together? As long as you still love me, whoever you are and wherever you may be, I will never leave you. We will live and die together. As long as you love me.
