Wu Yu and the others entered the Screening Gate, which was in fact an interstellar battlefield.
All the contestants from the civilizations who entered to take part in the screening had their memories sealed. Aside from their names, they knew neither where they came from nor why they were there.
Survival became their first priority. But the companions they met along the way, even the people they came to love, became enemies the moment their memories were unlocked.
Would they choose to resist the humiliation of being toyed with, or turn against their companions and loved ones for the sake of the home planet that had nurtured them?
