Writing Novels in Ancient Times

Yu Yi, an anime-obsessed shut-in, got so worked up when the protagonist was killed off that he had an accident and transmigrated into the body of a young scholar who had just failed the exams.

To make matters worse, the young scholar's cousin and fiancée had run off with all the money in his family. Yu Yi arrived to find himself saddled with three grim misfortunes: a cuckold's green hat, an empty purse, and a serious illness.

But Yu Yi, who loves action-packed anime, isn't about to give in to the world's malice so easily. He grits his teeth and gets through the illness. Then, facing the threat of starving to death, he decides to make a living from his old hobby of writing and drawing.

Just as he picks up his brush, luck finally comes his way: he gets bound to the legendary System.

With the System's help, Yu Yi thrives, becoming the foremost novelist of his age and famous across many nations.

It's something Yu Yi, who only wanted to fill his stomach at first, never would have dared to dream of.
