The Consorts Can’t Stand Each Other

[So happy! Chapter 43 is finally unlocked! It seems to have been locked for ages. The chapter itself is fine this time. Let the author’s notes stay locked, then. I don’t want to go through review again.] They say the empress is dignified and virtuous, a model for all under heaven. The Noble Consort sneers: “She’s a bookworm who thinks too highly of herself.” They say the Noble Consort is so stunningly beautiful that no one in the palace can rival her. The empress gives a faint smile: “She’s got a pretty face, but she’s rotten inside.” They wake up one morning to find that the empress has become the Noble Consort, and the Noble Consort has become the empress. Noble Consort: “What was it I used to say about the Noble Consort?” (smile, smile, smile) The maid answers: “That she’s an empty-headed fool with nothing but a pretty face.” Empress: “Didn’t I say the empress was especially hideous?” (serious, serious, serious) The maid answers: “You certainly did. Just three days ago.” That’s right, I’m here to announce that after discussing it with my editor, Wang Guifei and Empress Xie will become paid novels this Wednesday, August 17. A chapter of over ten thousand characters will drop that day. This author is really going to work herself to the bone. I hope you lovely readers will support the authorized edition. Muah, muah, muah! Theme: Cherish the present and make the most of it.
