The ending was too rushed. Overall it was pretty good, but not too sweet.
I found that this second case is too similar to "The Devotion of Suspect X" by Higashino Keigo. The similarity is 80%. They are both beautiful women with their daughters who are entangled by their ex-husband (or ex-boyfriend). The genius mathematician who has a crush on her kills people for her, but the protagonist is different. . . . (If you think about it in Chinese, Sherlock and Professor Yukawa are also very similar). Is this a coincidence?
