The King's Return [Reborn]

[Background] Gene-modified people began as experimental subjects in a human genetic-engineering program. As the experiments progressed, their numbers continued to grow. Eventually, their extraordinary abilities allowed them to overturn the established order and become the rulers with the finest bloodlines. The nine strongest among them are known to the world as the "Kings." [Character] Lin En is a commoner whose public-facing job is chef, with a passion for experimenting with food. In secret, however, he's a shrewd and meticulous information broker. Life is going swimmingly, and money is pouring in, until one day a gene-modified official named Arthur appears before him. They say Mr. Arthur is an important high-ranking gene-modified official. They say Lin En's background involves an extremely complicated story. They say... None of that matters. What confuses Lin En most is this: why does the scent of Mr. Arthur make him so sensitive that he reacts physically? Why? Mr. Arthur probably doesn't know that Lin En has quietly given him a nickname in his head: Spring Man. Update schedule: Usually updates every other day until the novel reaches 35,000 characters.
