The Daily Life of a Woman in Ancient Times

[The heroine is a native of this world, not someone who transmigrated or was reborn] The eldest daughter of Prefect Liu is a celebrated young lady, skilled in every art, from music and chess to calligraphy and painting. Her good name is known to everyone in Yangzhou. Her younger sister, Second Miss Liu, is quite the opposite: a complete blockhead, playful and mischievous. Though she was born only moments after her sister, she falls far short of her in every way. At school, she ignores the Four Books and Five Classics and the women's precepts, focusing instead on the Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art and all sorts of unofficial histories and light reading. Even at her coming-of-age ceremony, she still makes mistakes when writing characters. Whenever her teacher looks at Eldest Miss Liu, then at her, all he can do is sigh. With an amazing elder sister, three full brothers, and no strange concubines to contend with, Second Miss Liu's life can be summed up in two words: carefree and delightful. The two sisters come of age on the same day. Suitors crowd the Liu residence, but every one of them has come to court the elder sister. Their parents are frantic: the elder daughter is so sought after, while the younger one is so disliked. What are they to do? Second Miss Liu: What's the big deal? I just won't get married. The law of this dynasty says that any woman still unmarried after turning eighteen must pay a bachelor tax. The reborn elder sister says: You foolish commoners! How could my little sister possibly fail to find a husband? _(:зゝ∠)_ Though her future husband is a prince with no real power. But the elder sister never expected that years later, her brother-in-law would become emperor and her little sister would become empress. By then, everyone would be eating their words. Theme:
