[Dream of the Red Chamber] Where Has Spring Gone?

How much do you know of the wild rose, my lord? I, the guest beneath the banana leaves, find her so lovely! I've always been fond of Tanchun in Dream of the Red Chamber. Since she's going to marry overseas, I hope she finds a happy future. There may be secondary pairings Ping'er and Fengjie, and Baochai and Daiyu. Baochai and Daiyu: The cold fragrance was mistaken for a full and graceful form; dream-talk, so absurd, seems both true and false. She did not leave a jade pendant for her lover, but only grieves for the poor girl who lost her silk robe. The late spring's regret remains as the orioles grow old; in the evening rain, sorrow deepens as swallows fly. If one seeks an ideal match in the Red Chamber, Xue Jun is surely the right partner for Xiang Fei. Rotten grass turns into fireflies; a thousand beauties weep. Those who read hidden meanings, please stay away. Those who are too strict about historical details, please stay away too. Fei Bi is writing this as a novel, after all, so please don't take it too seriously.
