Among the people of the Red Sands, a story is passed down: the "strange birds" that fly across the sky are servants of an evil god, and anyone who sees one may meet with either great fortune or great misfortune. Trasha has seen a "strange bird" twice. The first time, it took his mother away. The second time, it brought him the prey from his first hunt: an elf with green eyes.
Among the adventurers of Newgran County, there is a legend: that blazing red desert is the domain of devils, its natives are all monsters, and none who pass through ever make it out alive. Thomas's airship crashed over the Red Sands, and though he survived, he became a slave to the natives. The one who claimed him as his "property"... was practically a child.
A desert tribesman (a mildly fantastical people who worship nature spirits) captures an adventurer from the city folk (whose civilization resembles steampunk) after his airship crashes in the desert, only to be tamed by the adventurer in turn. A fierce-looking but tender-hearted wild cub of a top × a knowledgeable, cheerful, fiercely protective adventurer of a bottom. Beneath their identities as master and slave, an isolated warrior and a foreigner at the mercy of others, unfolds a slow-burn coming-of-age romance in which they learn to understand and accommodate one another, heal each other, and win each other's hearts. Romance is the main plot, with angst, sweetness, and plenty of melodrama.
Please note: The top grew up in a twisted environment and is twisted in personality at the start, but he'll grow up (in every sense of the word). Different civilizations won't keep them from falling in love. Mild fantasy, no pregnancy or children.
