The labels of good and evil, right and wrong, can indeed be cheap at times.
That is precisely why it is hard to spend a lifetime doing good, and just as hard to spend a lifetime doing evil.
When faced with two evils, choose the lesser one.
Thus, neither wholly righteous nor wholly wicked, neither wholly good nor wholly evil; he slays the treacherous and harms the loyal; he walks the razor's edge, drenched in blood; peerlessly magnificent, yet on the verge of collapse.
Until, across the vast sea, a song curls around the fingers, carrying the scent of pagoda blossoms;
then, the strings snap.
It is their fall on the other side, and their rebirth here.
Good and evil are reversed, black and white change places; evil thoughts take root, yet kindness remains.
Amid the great wheel of fate, they are intertwined once more.
Author's Note:
Hello, everyone~ I'm Yi Feng, a bona fide newbie. Feng Ye Ming is my first work, so (bows at a 90-degree angle) I ask all the heroes of the martial world, the outlaws of the greenwood, and the brave heroines to go easy on me and spare me your blades. I don't ask you not to criticize, only to do so gently.
This story has a romance, but as one of the main threads, it isn't driven by possessiveness and mainly serves the plot. The story unfolds through a series of cases, with a strong focus on mystery (though nobody can be sure). The cases later on may (definitely will) be pretty intense, so ladies who don't like that, please cover your eyes and take another path (though that's not really what I mean).
Finally, this fool hopes to make friends through writing (stalker grin). I hope you enjoy the story!
