Beyond All Emotion

[Blurb One | Casual Version] When Pangu created the heavens and earth, pure energy gave rise to the Three Pure Ones. Legend has it that the first brothers in the world were the three brothers of the Three Pure Ones: The eldest, Laozi; the second, Yuanshi; and the youngest, Tongtian. One day, the youngest asked his two older brothers, "Big Brother, Second Brother, what is love?" Yuanshi smacked him on the head, pushed his head down, and said displeasedly, "A child should be cultivating properly, not asking about love. Go cultivate." Hongjun chuckled and scooped Tongtian into his arms. "If you don't want to cultivate, go play." Yuanshi pressed a hand to his forehead. "Teacher, you shouldn't spoil him." Hongjun smiled. "Didn't I spoil you the same way when you were little?" Yuanshi: "..." Laozi held back a laugh and led Tongtian out of Zixiao Palace. [Blurb Two | Serious Version] Forget love and attain impartiality. Understand love, then forget it. Do not be moved by emotion or troubled by feelings. Heaven is utterly self-serving, yet its use is utterly impartial. The highest forgets love; the lowest falls short of it. Whether one has love or not, it is all still love. The highest: Pangu's Three Pure Ones, supreme above all. Forget love: Does that mean forgetting it, or not forgetting it? [Note | Spoiler Alert] This story is not angsty. The pairing is Yuanshi and Hongjun. Don't ask me why I chose such a wildly unexpected pairing. The idea of forgetting love does not mean being without love, nor does it mean having love. Love is in the heart. It doesn't matter whether it is forgotten or remembered, present or absent. A different Primordial World, a different story. Are you ready? [Laugh]
