The Phoenix's Predicament

My father-in-law is an emperor, my husband is an emperor, and my son is an emperor. But all three of them are absolute oddballs. My father-in-law is a superstitious oddball who practices Daoism until everyone is sick of him. My husband is an oddball who bridges the old and new eras, loving a beauty more than his kingdom. My son is a lazy oddball who hasn't attended court in over twenty years. What, you want to know who I am? I'm the second daughter of the Li family, a Captain of the Guard's household in the capital. In a nutshell: It took her ten years to go from princess consort to empress. This story will be going premium on Thursday, June 9, with three chapters released that day. Please support the official version and help out this dirt-poor author~ O(∩_∩)O Reader's guide: 1. Unless something unexpected happens, this story will update daily. I'll post a notice if I need to take a break. 2. The heroine is partly original. Her inspiration is Empress Xiaoyi Zhuang, Lady Li, the original princess consort, not Empress Dowager Xiaoding, Lady Li, the mother of the Wanli Emperor. If you think the story really isn't working, just consider it a partly fictional alternate history. 3. One-on-one romance, happy ending. 4. Cover image source: Baidu.
