Jueji: Luo Qi

A L.Joe: Edge of the Empire fanfiction, with original protagonist Luo Qi x Qila.

It looks like there will be three volumes. I'm now more than halfway through Volume Two.

The plot has been heavily altered. I'm not a canon stickler, so please treat any details that don't match the original as my own headcanon.

Note: I began writing this in May 2020, before the second L.Joe: Edge of the Empire movie came out. I haven't seen the second movie either, so don't be surprised if anything differs completely from it. _(:з"∠)_

Luo Qi is the seme. He's younger, and occasionally clingy and outrageously flirtatious.

Warnings for canon fans:

1. The story begins eighteen years before the original's main plot. Aslan has not yet gone through the first major reform of the Soul Technique world. Silver Dust, Qiling, Gilgamesh, Youming, and Terea have not appeared yet, though they will later. There will be some original princes, followers, and talents.

2. The later plot definitely won't follow the original, but most of the characters will appear. The original pairings may not be used; for example, I've already broken up the most popular pairing, Ji-Qi.

3. L.Joe: Edge of the Empire is still unfinished. I can only fill in some minor plot holes based on my own guesses. As for the Ghost Defense, the Hungry Girl, the Long Sleeper Plan, and so on, I have no idea, no idea, no idea. I'll try to tie up loose ends, but the story is mainly about the couple. Any conspiracies or wars will be very childish, if they appear at all (?).

4. This isn't Qila from the Cold Blooded Feast version. He doesn't have as many secrets and has no particularly close connection with the Silver Priests. Qila's age in the original is a mystery. I don't know how long he's lived or whether he's made a deal with any spirits, and I don't want to fill in those gaps. So I've made him a normal age: about twenty-five or twenty-six when the story begins.

5. This is not a power-progression story. Luo Qi is at the top of his game from the moment he debuts.

6. I can't write a pretentious, badass style, so everyone's down-to-earth and unremarkable (not really).

Synopsis:

The Silver Priests' orders are absolute, even when they are beyond everyone's expectations.

Qila silently repeated an unfamiliar name. This person would replace Cang He as his Earth Follower.

"Luo Qi."

Like most of Aslan's people, he was a snow-dweller raised by the heavy, deep snow at dusk. Like a snowflake vanishing into the falling snow, he was ordinary and unremarkable.

Then one day, an elf of the dark night, dressed in a black cloak, passed through a magnificent golden gate and gracefully held out his right hand. Behind him revolved an exquisite, profound array.

"From now on, you are one of the most noble people in Aslan, an Earth Follower."

Noble? I wouldn't dare lay claim to that. Born in the mud, I keep my pride to myself.
