The Farmer in Charge

With neither father nor mother, Xue Yunlu had no choice but to take charge of the family as the eldest sister. She originally planned to remain unmarried for the rest of her life, but something unexpected happened. Not only did she get married, she made an especially good match. Everyone said that the eldest daughter of the Xue family must have spent ten lifetimes earning good fortune to marry into such a fine family. Yunlu wondered how lucky she had been to meet Chenyu Xian. A few things to keep in mind: 1. The first dozen or so chapters cover the female lead's daily life. The male lead gets a lot of scenes from around Chapter 20 onward, so the beginning is a little slow-burn. 2. The female lead doesn't seem to have any major golden finger. This isn't a wish-fulfillment story, and there are no scheming, awful relatives to deal with. It's more of a slice-of-life story. 3. It's set in a fictional world, very loosely based on anything real, so don't expect historical accuracy. All the worldbuilding is there to serve the plot. 4. It's not a pure farming story. Since I gave the male lead a fairly high status, the early part focuses on farming, while the later part focuses on the couple working through their relationship. 5. The author is terrible at logic. If you spot any logical errors, feel free to point them out. I'll take reasonable suggestions, but please don't insult me. 6. The title says "Farm Girl" because that's the female lead's identity. She definitely won't remain a farm girl throughout the story, and this isn't purely a farming novel. Theme: A poor farm girl works hard to build a happy life.
