This melodramatic plot was dreamed up by my former deskmate and my... former deskmate before that. I did join in a few days ago, though. Wondering why it's called The Matchstick People's Torturous Love Story? The original was a four-panel comic. Well, after I took over, it kept growing to five, six, seven panels... They can't draw, so they made matchstick people the theme. The amazing thing is that while they were torturing each other's hearts at top speed, I took over as editor, artist, and writer starting on page three. Good grief, what an insult to my drawing skills!
The plot of this story twists and turns, and it's ridiculous, so it'll be torturous for anyone who reads it. Even though the original creators agreed, out of respect for the source material, I won't change the plot or the character names. Okay, I admit it: they're really good at this, and the character names are so... chuunibyou.
But we all went through eighth grade, didn't we? So if you don't like it, please don't flame us.
I think this passage from the original's homepage makes a lot of sense, so I'll use it here too.
Our update policy is:
Draw (write) whatever comes to mind.
No sense of plot whatsoever.
So please don't ask us, "How does this connect to anything?"
P.S. Please don't correct the characters in the story (especially, don't tell us about it). They're all just phonetic loan characters, okay?
Sangsang (a pseudonym) said this comic would be hard to adapt into a novel, but I'll write it up with my impossibly long-winded essay-writing skills, just to prove how much I can talk.
