The Tyrant Picked Up a Mermaid

When Yang Guang was eight, he found a mermaid egg by the East China Sea. From then on, he became an irrepressible mermaid fanatic, dreaming of creating a love story between a prince and a mermaid princess.

Later, Yang Guang cheerfully conned the Imperial Seal of China out of his father, Yang Jian. When Grand Tutor Yuwen saw the carved words "Mandated by Heaven," he silently gave it a thumbs-up.

Later still, Yang Guang never found a mermaid. Instead, he became the emperor at the end of the world, earned the title of tyrant, and lost his kingdom. With only one arm left, the Grand Tutor took his hand. "Would you come with me?"

Mr. Yang, the foolish tyrant, nodded. And so he went with the Grand Tutor to the depths of the sea, where they lived happily ever after with no shame or restraint.

Yang Guang: Huh, why are we going into the sea? (⊙o⊙)?

"Grand Tutor! Your tail is showing!" the Four Generals, Xiao Xue, Chen Jingchou, and the rest all shouted in unison.

The character of Grand Tutor Yuwen combines the traits and events of Yuwen Tuo from the game The Scar of Heaven and Yuwen Chengdu from Romance of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Yang Guang's characterization is not based on any particular version.

This pairing is so niche it has no friends (⊙﹏⊙). You can read it as an original story, so there shouldn't be any trouble following it.

One-on-one romance, top protagonist. There's a bonus at the end of Volume One, and yes, it's a real "egg."
