Mr. Cat's Cake Shop [Preview] (Published)

Blurb:

This is a fictional world where animals can turn into humans.

This is a story about a tiger who really is less impressive than a cat when he doesn't show his claws.

A cake-shop owner who built his business from scratch and a freelancer who makes a living by writing are brought together by a dine-and-dash meal... From then on, the freelance tiger is stuck working at the cake shop to pay off his meal to Mr. Cat, the owner.

They're both members of the cat family, but there's quite a gap between them. The timid, easily cowed tiger envies Mr. Cat, who's always decisive and energetic. The cake shop gets all sorts of quirky customers, and the tiger's kindhearted nature forces Mr. Cat, who hates getting involved in other people's problems, to help customers sort out their troubles. Going through all kinds of things with the tiger gradually changes Mr. Cat, who has always struggled to feel secure.

When Mr. Cat finally works up the courage to rely on the tiger, the consequences of his long-standing tsundere ways catch up with him. The tiger has endured Mr. Cat's sharp tongue for so long that he can't even imagine Mr. Cat cares about him. Heartbroken, Mr. Cat decides to leave the cake shop...
