A Deity Passed by My Door

Since the 1990s, divine power has waned and the gods have vanished from sight.

The immortals who once rode clouds and mist have fallen to the mortal realm, mingling with rough country folk. The Heavenly Court is deserted, while the human world grows livelier by the day.

Sun Wukong, the Victorious Fighting Buddha whose name once shook the universe, has now transformed into the most ordinary of urban office workers.

This is another pretty crazy idea. I meant to write it as a New Year story for the Year of the Monkey, but I dragged it out until now, so...

Just consider it my belated New Year greeting to you all!
