I heard that The World II was going to wipe its servers, and I felt an emptiness inside. The character I’d spent so long training, the friends I’d played with for so long, and all the great gear I’d spent so much time and effort getting were going to be gone... That game held so many of my happy memories, and my character in a green dress carried so much of my heart. The game company said it would wipe the servers, and all we could do was watch helplessly. Our memories will eventually fade with time, but I was lucky enough to record some of that happiness in words. Even if you’ve never played the game, it shouldn’t affect your enjoyment of this story too much. I only hope to share my happiness with you, along with the wistfulness that came afterward... Theme:
