Before Dawn

The time before dawn is the darkest hour of the day, a metaphor for the pain and setbacks one must endure before achieving anything. But after enduring every pain and setback, I don't need any achievements. I only want you, another version of myself. I want you to love me.

Ling Chi is tall and handsome, with an unthreatening appearance, but he is the mastermind behind Southeast Asia's largest money-laundering syndicate, which has been pursued by Interpol for years. Arrogant and cold-natured, he has nothing but contempt for all things "righteous." Even so, Ling Chi has countless admirers. He sneers at them all, because in his eyes, no one but himself is worthy of him. Then he meets himself from two years in the future. His other self has the exact same face and the exact same fighting ability. The only difference is their outlook on life.

Content warnings: two powerful leads, crime, younger man, main character as the pursuer, self-pairing.
