The Cat-Eyed Lover

I'm a cat.

A black cat.

She's a cat just like me, slipping through the night.

We're just lazy, doing our best to avoid trouble and seeking freedom in the darkness.

We can't be bothered to calculate or think too hard, that's all.

“Stupid cat, don't lump me in with you. I'm human, and you? Hmph, you're not even human.”

The woman sitting in the chaise longue grabbed me by the ears and spoke viciously. I shivered and took it back. Listen up, everyone: she's no lazy cat. She's a fox, plain and simple.

“Meow, meow! Help!”
