(Dream of the Red Chamber) Minxiu

Jia Min was the daughter of Jia Mu, the wife of Lin Ruhai, and the mother of Lin Daiyu. Any one of these identities would have made her noteworthy, yet she had already died by the time she appeared in the story. Though she was a woman described in only a few brief lines, she was the only woman among the likes of Xing and Wang to have a full name. Cao Gong wrote little about Jia Min, but still created a character who inspires endless speculation. If the fate of such an extraordinary woman had changed before the story of Dream of the Red Chamber began, what direction would the entire story take? Note: 1. This foolish author is writing Dream of the Red Chamber fanfiction for the first time, so there are bound to be shortcomings. Suggestions are welcome, but please don’t flame me. 2.
