Without a hint of warning, the deep waters of night came rolling in. From then on, one color and one flavor were missing from my memories.
I was like a sunflower, growing toward the light, with muddy earth churning beneath my feet. I wandered in circles, never realizing the sun had already set.
Like a child, I cried myself into sleep, despaired in the darkness of midnight, and put on a white mask of a smile when I woke.
Some definition called "responsibility" gradually covered my sunlight, leaving me unable to find my way in the dark.
The white mask seemed to be showing signs of cracking.
Crack.
It split in two.
