Hearing this, that fellow beamed with delight and pulled a pair of knives and forks from his sleeve. "Oh, then sashimi would be just right..."

The little carp nearly fainted. Just then, she saw a handsome young gentleman pass by, dressed in white and as bright as the moon. She hurriedly took his hand, sneaking in a grope while she was at it. "Brave hero! Save this poor girl!"

But he drew his sword with righteous indignation and laid it against her neck. "Little demon, surrender at once!"

Later, her young son blinked and asked, "Mother, that little carp was so pitiful. What happened to her afterward?"
