June 10: Unedited, bug fixes
Sigh, I might be the only person on the whole internet whose warnings are longer than the blurb.
I'm not being modest!! The writing really is elementary-school level.
[Everyone, there are so many potential landmines in this story, so please read all the warnings!!!]
At the request of many readers, please fill in this blank: The heroine is (XXX). In this blank, list every vicious thing you can think of. [Please note: The heroine is all of those things.]
The heroine is pure evil, and never gets found out. In plain terms, she's rotten from beginning to end. Please don't hold out even the slightest hope that she'll change. If you can't accept that, read no further!!!
The ending is a little far-fetched, and the heroine dies because she's bored and no longer wants to live, as well as to satisfy my own personal preference. (Honestly, what sort of feminism can you talk about in an ancient setting? Better to just tear the whole thing down. [Please don't overlook this: It's pure wish fulfillment. Don't try to make it into something grander.] At her core, before all other labels, the heroine is a sophisticated egoist. Death is simply a pleasure for her, given how bored she is with life.)
At readers' request, one more note: The heroine's parents are what people would call a "scumbag man and wicked woman, a pair of executioners." (The story opens with the heroine's mother; the heroine herself makes her first proper appearance in Chapter 4.)
I recommend reading this from the perspective of the scheming, wicked female rival in a traditional rebirth revenge story.
If there's anything else you think should be added as a warning, feel free to leave a polite, respectful comment, and I'll add whatever seems appropriate.
If you've still decided to read after all that, please don't complain. If it's not for you, just close it and move on. Thanks for understanding.
And now, the original warnings:
0. A feel-good power fantasy!!! Told from the heroine's perspective, with no pairing and no romance. It's tagged as romance because that category is the closest fit on Jinjiang.
1. Please respect one another and don't make personal attacks. A deep bow of thanks.
2. The writing really is elementary-school level. A true product of my edgy phase. (Back then I was in middle school, or maybe still writing at an elementary-school level. I'm really sorry.)
3. The tone is dark, and the values are extremely twisted. The heroine is a scheming, calculating woman who has no principles or bottom line. She routinely acts pitiful while harming the innocent. Please think carefully before reading.
4. The author does not share the story's values. If you read it and still can't accept it, please don't make personal attacks!
5. I write for fun and out of love, not as a professional author. Updates once a week!!! During exceptional circumstances, I'll pin a notice in the blurb to ask for leave. Updates may be delayed, but I will never skip one. A friendly warning: waiting for weekly updates can be extremely exhausting. I'm sorry if that's not for you.
6. The heroine did not transmigrate. The story quotes many poems by famous writers, and the heroine is established as a talented woman, not a plagiarist. I'm just not very clever and can't write such ornate, brilliant prose myself.
7. I've written so much to warn readers who might not be able to accept this story, so you won't get annoyed and leave angry comments after reading it. I'm not especially even-tempered, but as a fairy, I can't exactly fire back, and that would be annoying too. If you don't click in, and stop reading here, we can still turn back and remain strangers who crossed paths briefly, right? We read for fun. Let's respect each other, keep the hostility down, and take things as they come.
8. Finally, I hope all my dear readers enjoy the story.
And now, the actual blurb:
# A celestial black lotus heroine, brimming with scheming and shamelessness #
She plots at every turn, not for a lifetime of glory;
She is ruthless and merciless, simply playing a game;
She desires nothing, and so follows her heart.
Unfortunately, her heart was wicked from the start.
What she wants has never been an immortal name, but absolute certainty.
Purpose:
A mess of uncommon words combined with a lot of babbling plot. Every time the heroine's layout is written in a magical way, and then there is no explanation of the plot in the end. All the scheming and tricks are not written clearly, and the babbling is unclear. Summary, a waste of time.
Oh no... I skipped over and watched the ending. When I saw the title, I thought the heroine became the queen. In the text, the author said that the heroine is not a good person in the social sense, so she gave it to be... It's quite uncomfortable [crying] [crying] I definitely read this article. They are all able to accept the bad heroine, but in the end, the author himself came up with an ending that can be called positive... Is this a kind of backstabbing (but luckily the heroine didn't lose her horse)... The protagonist's control is really broken... Bad is bad. Who said bad people can't be empresses [Cracked]
The author wrote it well. Although there are flaws and the ending is a bit rushed, the intention is very good. I really like the heroine!
I'm done watching. I'm tired.
The ending is really weird. I support a woman becoming emperor, but I don't support such an illogical empress.
It was a book that I liked very much when I was studying. At that time, I was obsessed with it and waited for the update every week. I have been working for several years now, and I have almost forgotten the plot. I will come back and review it again! To commemorate my first complete order in Jinjiang hahaha
I finished watching it, wow wow, I really liked it.
After reading the main text for over a hundred times, I read the ending in advance. To be honest, I was confused after reading the ending. Not very acceptable. But, cheers.
I always feel like it's a mess and something went off track in the ending.
