[Jian San + Wuxia] Song of Everlasting Sorrow

"Your sword is cold, but your heart is warm. His hands are warm, but his heart is cold." He spoke with a smile, his eyes calm and untroubled, his voice serene and gentle, as though he were talking about someone with nothing to do with him. Ximen Chuixue stood beside him, a sword in his hand. "Mm." I would wash the dust from your sword and smooth the wounds between your brows. I would play the flute and dance with a sword for you, brush fallen plum blossoms from your shoulders. I would watch the world's splendor and vicissitudes with you, then know neither sorrow nor joy, anger nor resentment. I would wipe away the clutter on you and trace your star-bright eyes and sword-shaped brows. I would brew tea and warm wine for you, pluck a green plum branch from beneath the eaves. I would watch the world's countless rises and falls with you, then forget the past and never look back again.
