I've now written 160,000 words, and the male and female leads still haven't sparked any romance. Things are moving a little slowly. I originally planned to write 300,000 words, but now I'm not sure.

P.S. The male lead is definitely Rhett Butler!! I always felt a little regret when watching the movie and reading the book, so I wanted to write a better story. The heroine isn't brainless or saintly. She's a little arrogant, a little shy, and a little selfish. She's not strong-willed enough, but she's independent enough. This story is sugary, sugary, sugary, with a very overpowered golden finger! A total delight! A sweet story, no angst. Scarlett is portrayed a little negatively, since she wasn't very likable at first in the original either.
