No Snow on Cangshan, Unfallen Through the Ages

[An old work. Don't read it! I won't be responsible if it gives you whiplash!]

The emergence of a treasure brings to light a shocking conspiracy. She wants nothing more than to leave the mortal world behind and live freely, yet with every step she sinks deeper into it.

The person she once trusted most turns out to have treated her as nothing more than a pawn in the pursuit of power.

The person she once admired and yearned for is someone she misses beneath the fading glow of the lanterns.

She lives on, immortal, watching others experience the joys and sorrows of life. She thought she would be alone forever, never imagining that the gentle presence that had always been by her side would remain there to the very end.

Reader's guide:

Written in middle school. No romance. A vast world, an ensemble cast, and a plot-driven story.

If you don't like it, please just move on. No personal attacks, and I won't accept suggestions for revisions.

This work has a second part, also written with middle-school-level prose.
