A few words before we begin: After reading the novel Nirvana in Fire, watching the TV adaptation, marveling at how Hai Yan's writing feels divinely inspired and the adaptation is such a rare gem, and giving in to the occasional itch to revisit it, I reread the novel again and again and watched the show three times, ready to start a fourth. In the end, I couldn't resist the urge to take it apart and have a little fun with it.
When it comes to pairings, I have no hesitation in shipping Su Huang. I can't help thinking that the childhood sweethearts of back then aren't little children anymore. After more than ten years apart, their longing for each other has only grown richer, like aged wine. That's a sentiment worth celebrating.
But since I wanted to respect the original work as much as possible and preserve Hai Yan's feelings for the characters in Nirvana in Fire, I had to let go of the Su Huang pairing that I adore and turn my fanfic ideas toward the next generation.
So, fans of all pairings, please don't flame me. If this isn't your thing, you're welcome to click the little X in the upper right or the back button in the upper left.

It's been almost two years. This is my favorite book throughout my college years. I don't know if it will be a series in my lifetime.
Madam, do you still remember us at the bottom of the pit?
The author is great, I promised not to give up the trap [cross hands][cross hands][cross hands]
Wow, it's finally updated! !
I just like Xiao Dongming who is so domineering. I was really wronged before (I would like to express my excitement again: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so much)
