I love The Third Kind of Love. I wrote this bonus chapter because the story moved me, and I simply wanted to describe Jiang Xinyao. Look at things from another angle, and who can say who is the protagonist and who is a supporting character?
I’ve read the whole novel five times. By the end, all I could think was that the women were wonderful and the man was completely in the wrong. Yet Lin Qizheng, as Free wrote him, was impossible to hate. I don’t think Jiang or Zou would hate him either.
Reading this novel reminded me of a passage from Eileen Chang’s Red Rose, White Rose. I can’t remember the exact wording, but the gist is that every man has a red rose and a white rose in his heart. If he marries the white rose, after a while she becomes a grain of white rice stuck to his clothes, while the red rose remains a cinnabar mark forever in his heart. If he marries the red rose, after a while she becomes a smear of mosquito blood on his mosquito net, while the white rose remains the “moonlight before his bed” forever.
Did Lin not love Jiang at all? Of course he did! Did Jiang marry into the Lin family without considering her own family’s interests? Of course not! So what is love? It’s impossible to explain. Men see it as only one part of life. Their worlds are so dazzling and varied that they can’t tell one color from another. But how many women, for whom love is everything, can really make sense of it?
If I were still young, I might take Zou’s side. What’s wrong with loving someone once? But once you enter the walled city of marriage, I hope everyone can be Jiang Xinyao, wise enough to find true happiness!
Theme:
Wow, the writing is very good, but Jiang Xinyao in the original work is not so innocent, she just behaves innocently. The way she writes freely gives me a feeling of being superior, and looking at Zou Yu is like looking down on her. She also knew that she and Lin Qizheng had a business marriage and didn't have much affection, but she didn't allow Lin Qizheng to be remembered because of her background and the pride in her bones. I used to think that Jiang Xinyao's smile at the end was relief, but after reading free comments and extras, I realized that it was ridicule. So Jiang Xinyao is not like this.
Don't you think Jiang Xinyuan is too scheming? Girls who grew up in big families are not very innocent. Maybe Jiang Xinyuan is not from my class, so I can't feel sympathy or resonance with her psychological description. Some just feel that she deserves it. To be honest, I sympathize with Lin Qizheng. His life is too depressed and too tiring. Such a man deserves the best.
It's so well written! I'll remember Cheng Qi Da Da. I'm going to pursue big stories in the future, so let's start with Deep Palace. Speaking of which, the extras are really good, and the writing is no worse than the original!
It's really well written, and it completely follows the author's ideas. But after reading this episode, I still feel so sorry~ How could there be such a love? How could it end like this?
I sympathize with Zou Yu and hope that the lovers will eventually get married. However, this seems to be a love that has been misplaced in time. I believe in the reality and existence of love. Lin Qizheng must have been engaged at that time. If he had already accepted Xinyao, then why bother. If you really love Zou Yu, then give up this hateful political marriage. His wrong decisions and selfishness ruined the peace and happiness of three people. We are all married, so let it go when it's time to let it go. I think time will heal the trauma in Zou Yu's heart. If you support the third type of love, then what about Xinyuan? She is innocent, and it seems cruel to hurt her like this! I have read a continuation, which tells that later Lin Qizheng secretly got together with Zou Yu and had a child. Jiang Xinyao designed to keep the child and also caused a medical accident to cut off Zou Yu's uterus. However, Lin Qizheng later abandoned the pregnant Xinyao and finally got together with Zou Yu. I think that kind of assumption is very different from the personalities of the three people. Zou Yu is a person with extremely strong self-control. I think she will handle her own life well. Therefore, I think this extra chapter is very appropriate. In fact, these three people are not that bad, they are just a group of people tired of love. In any case, this tragic story puts the problems of life in front of us, and how to solve them, everyone has his own style and way. It's still the same as the original work, leaving room for everyone's imagination.
I don't like Xinyao too much. In fact, she was not wrong. However, maybe it's because I don't belong to her class and can't stand the feeling of being superior. I still hope Cinderella can be with the prince. Hope: lovers can get married.
Very well written... This is my first time watching the third love episode... Very good... Brings back memories... I have to go see it again... Haha...
I didn't see freedom~ But you can refine her comments~ You can see it
This... No worse than the original~
This extra chapter is really well written. Many people write continuations because they like "The Third", but they are not satisfactory. They think it is better to end like the original text, but this extra chapter makes the ending more fulfilling. I really like it. Thank you! Actually, I also like Xinyao very much, she is a good girl!
