I loved the peaceful world in the author’s novel, and after reading it, I was so stirred that I really wanted to write a side story. I’ve often wondered what kind of dazzling figure Jun Hong must have been as a teenager, the man who left the Empress Dowager Yao without an empress for more than a decade. How did he captivate the capital in his youth? And the close friend he accused of getting him pregnant and killing his fiancée: did he do it deliberately, was it love turned to hatred, or was there some other hidden reason? And so Ten Years of Your Heart came to be: the story of Wei Wu and Jun Hong. Once, they fell in love at first sight and their hearts beat as one. Once, they swore eternal devotion and were inseparable. When blades and spears flew, it was no longer he who shielded her. When they drank and sang freely, it was no longer she who joined him. Beneath layers of schemes and careful machinations, can the love they once shared return to what it was? Will they refuse to regret it, even with their hearts in pain? Or is the sea they once knew now beyond comparison? After ten years of devoted love, will they finally find happiness, or will they part like migrating swallows? This is not a harem story. Although it tells of a transmigrator’s past life, there is no transmigration. The ending is different from that of Peaceful World.
