Tiantian is a country girl. She should have had a carefree, happy childhood, but after her parents passed away, she was left in the care of others and constantly looked down on. Fortunately, she has a world of her own. Disillusioned with human nature, she is determined to guard this secret at all costs. She also studies the knowledge found in that space. When she comes of age, she leaves the so-called home where she had been staying. Her ability to sense the future tells her that the apocalypse is coming. She never considers warning anyone, because in her eyes, this too is a natural law. Nature is choosing which humans will survive, and only those with light in their hearts can make it through.
The apocalypse arrives while humanity remains unaware. The weather grows hotter and hotter; earthquakes and tsunamis show just how insignificant people are in the face of nature. Food shortages bring out the worst in human nature. In a frenzy, people ignore government orders and loot everywhere, though there are also those who stand up for what is right. Just as people grow accustomed to the heat, a sudden, bitter winter arrives. Once again, a great many unprepared people perish. After one disaster after another, humanity finally realizes that they brought all this upon themselves. The survivors unite to welcome a new age. Tiantian witnesses all these changes along the way. It isn't that she doesn't want to help them; they have to save themselves. All she can do is protect the wisdom passed down by her ancestors and pass it on when the time is right.
