Yun Xiling, a human princess who has returned from studying the arts on Mount Kunlun, is on her way back to her residence when, by chance, she releases Qingshi, a spirit cat sealed inside an ancient scroll. She also happens to meet a foreign princess who has infiltrated the residence. Persuaded and beguiled by her, Yun Xiling joins her in searching for the ancient Heavenly Emperor's Bagua diagram. Joining them are Yun Xiran, a carefree and dissolute young heir who loves his freedom; Qi Jingwei, the exceptionally clever and strategic only son of a capital official, who is also a brilliant physician; and Xiao Yi, a young martial-arts-world rogue who fancies himself a chivalrous thief! The six laugh, bicker, and joke their way along on a delightful, hilarious treasure-hunting adventure! Along the way, they also subdue demons and vanquish evil, escaping death several times. As they journey on, each person's origins are gradually revealed. Faced with their destinies, they feel helpless yet unwilling to yield, and must choose between giving up and making sacrifices for others. How will they reconcile love, family, and friendship?
