A fanfiction of the TV drama The Pretender, Lou Cheng pairing
Background: The Japanese bomb Shanghai. Fang Buting abandons his wife and children, resulting in his wife and daughter being killed in the bombing, while his younger brother goes missing. Only Fang Meng'ao makes it to Beiping with him.
When they were separated, Fang Meng'ao was 9 and Fang Mengwei (A Cheng) was 5. A Cheng ended up in an orphanage, where he was taken away by Aunt Gui and began living with the Ming family.
As in the novel, Ming Cheng runs away at 15. I made him 20 when he starts carrying out missions during college.
When Fang Meng'ao finds him, A Cheng is 25 and Ming Lou is 28.
I'm terrible at timelines, so this may differ from the original novel or TV drama. The ages are rough estimates. I thought a 5-year-old might vaguely remember a few things, and the three-year age gap is just so cute~
