Li Zimu, the male lead, is born into poverty. A tragic childhood and a conflict with his childhood friends lead to problems with his studies. His teacher makes things difficult for him, until an incident forces him to transfer schools. After moving on to higher education, he falls out with his best friend over his own romantic troubles. A new roommate appears and wins over Zhou Yan, the girl Li Zimu fell in love with at first sight. He also ends up completely breaking with a former classmate and friend. In the end, his new roommate breaks up with the girl he loves. Under pressure, Zimu manages to get into a higher school, but the romantic impulses of adolescence remain. This encounter should never have happened, and in the end it kills his hopes of finding love on campus. He starts a business with his friends.
