The Years I Raised Beasts

Wuming Village has a tradition of making offerings. Young men and women carry sacrifices into the mountains for a night, then return safely the next day. Lin You was the only boy who never came back. Everyone called him an idiot. The beast had lived on Wuming Mountain ever since it was born. The village at the foot of the mountain worshiped it as their mountain god. Every year, they sent it a sacrifice. And this year, it set its sights on the person who brought the offering. Interlude: "Fox Diary" Youyou often strokes the fur on my back. The king is very displeased about it. He even offered me a secret fur-care formula. But the king scoffed at it. As befits the king of all beasts, he never cares about appearances! "Beast Diary" That stinking fox offered me some soapberries. My fur really did get silky smooth after I used them. Youyou stroked me one extra time this morning. I must keep using them! Remember this! A few notes: 1. Pairing: pretty, sweet bottom x beast-turned-human top. 2. There should be quite a few cute animals making appearances. 3. An ancient-style fantasy, an unusual fairy tale, told at an easygoing pace. 4. The author is hopeless and updates whenever inspiration strikes. Belated New Year greetings. Theme: Humans and nature living in harmony
