Blessings Upon the Extraordinary

Could anything be worse than being inexplicably sacrificed the day before your wedding? Especially when it's because your long-lost twin sister is a passionate revolutionary who plans to assassinate her father and your future father-in-law. Thankfully, heaven gives you a second chance, letting you prepare for everything in advance.

This is a slow-blooming romance born of mutual interest between Ning Zhengrong, a young lady of the Republic of China era who can be haughty one moment and petulant the next, but never loses sight of the bigger picture, and the young marshal Ni Ze.

This story is also known as Rebirth of the Sacrificial Older Sister, The Worst Is Being Switched at Your Own Wedding, and The Bride Is Me, Not My Sister!...

The idea came from the recent Korean film Assassination. I especially liked the doomed engaged couple, Mitsuko and Captain Kawaguchi, but since the captain is Japanese, writing fanfiction didn't seem right. So I borrowed the film's character dynamics and set them in a different background.
