There are two things Shang Yao regrets most in her life.

The following is Shang Yao's inner monologue:
I was still in the modern world this morning, drinking tonic soup at the Kowloon Teahouse.
How did the scene suddenly shift to ancient times? Why am I lying in an emperor's tomb,
inside a mysterious, luxurious coffin, with the flames flickering all around?
I've changed my face. I'm a peerlessly beautiful enchantress.
I'm still waiting for a hero to descend from the heavens.
I'm back in the palace. The show is about to begin.
Now I have to figure out how to escape this cage.

2. This is a fictional setting, with some background elements based on the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties. Customs may differ slightly. This is not a supernatural story. One-on-one romance, happy ending.
