Fruit Without Flowers

A lot of people think the title is strange.

They all think of figs.

That is what I wanted to talk about, too.

Figs do have flowers, you know.

They're tiny, hidden among the leaves.

But even when misunderstood,

they still quietly bear fruit.

Every childhood, whether treasured or overlooked,

every love, whether good or painful,

is just like that.

If you've ever been unlucky,

please believe this:

Wait, and wait again.

Even without flowers,

there will be fruit.

Time will give us the best answer.
