Hunter Fan Fiction: The Fool

A fool is a creature that combines innocent boldness with ignorant stupidity. Ignorance makes one innocent; lack of knowledge makes one bold... The schemes and plots of a few people, the joys and sorrows of several families, the challenges a few people make against fate, and the malicious spectators watching the show... ...Where, exactly, does the Fool's journey end? This story is about a Conjurer who seems clever and bright but is actually a little clumsy, and what happens after he transmigrates into the body of Miss Neon, the famous fortune-teller and cannon fodder... This story is a slow burn, and it doesn't really get going until chapters four or five. The heroine, Jialan, has the abilities of the twenty-two Tarot cards. Their effects are varied and broad, but weak and subject to many restrictions, so the heroine isn't overpowered. She relies mainly on her good judgment. Warning: This is a tragic drama... Readers who dislike sad stories should proceed with caution! The third installment in the Fate Suite series. In short, a Conjurer transmigrates into the body of Miss Neon. (She was originally going to be a Transmuter, but I don't want to write another scheming character, so... a Conjurer it is!) Part One: The Beast in the Spider's Web Part Two: The Beast RELOAD: Ghost Butterfly The Minor Arcana Court Card series: Night of Illusions (You can skip the first half, which is a collection of celebratory stories. The second half focuses on Feitan, and character spotlights from the court cards will be added over time.) P.S. The old version has been moved elsewhere.
