Dodging Straightforward Advances Every Day

[The main story is told in third person] I transmigrated into a novel about a Dragon-Proud Protagonist conquering the world. Unfortunately, I was destined to be cannon fodder on his path to greatness. The good news: I transmigrated with my childhood friend. We share a System, but have different abilities. The bad news: Our families are rivals. We have to spit whenever we see someone from the other side. Even Romeo and Juliet had it easier than us. On the surface, we're sworn enemies. In reality, we're secretly in cahoots, sneaking off together every day to figure out how to escape the plot's control and stay alive. One day, we take down the Dragon-Proud Protagonist. Our families join forces to welcome a new future, and the elders want us to marry each other. I say sincerely, "Just thinking about a future with you makes me want to throw up." Cen Changdong says, "What a coincidence. We have astonishingly good chemistry on that front." I decide this can't go on. Taking advantage of an injury, I come up with a devious plan: I pretend to have amnesia. I've never felt so clever in my life. When I wake up amid the chaos, Cen Changdong stares straight at me for a long time. Then he says his first words to me: "You've lost your memory?" "We're engaged. You love me so much that you can't live without me, and after you begged me repeatedly, I agreed to your proposal." The moment I see the smile in his eyes, I understand. Damn it, this guy figured out I'm faking amnesia. Cen Changdong: "0V0 So, when are you ready to get married?" I don't want to play along, but I can't say I haven't lost my memory either. So I grit my teeth and say, "I barely know you. Wouldn't getting married be a bit much?" #I hate that you're such a blockhead# #Thanks for giving me the chance to shed the childhood-friend label# [Before You Read] ○ A lighthearted, sweet little story, written as a change of pace. I just hope readers enjoy it. ○ The protagonist really is a blockhead. They completely miss every hint thrown their way for much of the story, so read with caution if that bothers you. ○ Please don't offer unsolicited writing advice. ○ The quick transmigration project from 2015 has been replaced.
