The Lotus Repays a Debt of Gratitude

Xiao Furong was once a cherished Drunken Hibiscus belonging to Lady Huarui in the Song Dynasty. Blessed with the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, its blossoms changed color three times a day. After many years, it became a spirit, but its cultivation was still weak. After Lady Huarui died, it was left to wander the mortal world, always treading carefully for fear its flower body would be destroyed and its soul scattered. It had been cultivating peacefully, but some fool dug it up and sent it to the Jia household. It nearly got snapped off by the young master, Jia Baoyu, but luckily Miss Lin came to its rescue, helping it escape that calamity. Now it owed Miss Lin a debt of gratitude, so it had to repay her. The Lord of Yongding River had told Xiao Fu all about Miss Lin's past life. There were enormous benefits in staying by the side of an immortal's reincarnation, even for a little demon like it. But the River Lord said Miss Lin had come to repay a debt of gratitude, and Xiao Furong had always had one question: Are the grasses by the river short on water? Who knows about the heavens, but it had lived by the Yongding River for so many years and had never been short of water. Miss, you don't need to repay any kindness. No matter how I look at it, you should be getting revenge! So this is a story about a scatterbrained, ridiculous flower demon repaying a debt of gratitude. ******Going VIP this Thursday, 9/22.
