[Fourth Love] So Happy You Forget to Go Home

This story is entirely fictional. Please do not try to match any of its characters or countries to real people or places.

Ren Xi is a woman who gets involved in the underworld, founds an entertainment company, and wins the favor of many men. But all she ever wanted was to earn enough to get by. Her methods are extreme, and her actions are cruel, but whatever else, she only wants to protect herself and her brothers. As time goes on, though, her heart grows cold, cold to the bone, nearly cold enough to seep into her blood.

Li Le's life is simple, so ordinary that it seems perfectly normal. But ever since he met Ren Xi, so many things have changed. He doesn't know why, but this woman left a deep impression on him from the very beginning.

Many years later, Ren Xi holds Li Le in her arms and watches the sun sink slowly below the horizon. Only after night falls does she say softly:

"I never thought there'd be someone like you in my story."

"I never thought there'd be someone like me in your story, either."

First-person narration, strong female lead. Fourth love and similar labels are fine...

This is a very, very long story...

Please set aside questions of realism. This is essentially a fictional world...

Every chapter begins with a line I wrote myself. Some are related to the story, and some have nothing to do with it at all...
