[Saint Seiya] Mountain Mist and the Stone Monkey

A second-person point-of-view experiment, a short story.

After watching Journey to the West: The Return of the Great Sage, I came up with this fanfic idea about the 1999 version of Sun Wukong after reading the 1999 fanfic by the wonderful @warishell_peaceisshell on Weibo.

Sweetness all the way through.

P.S. The 1999 version's look of disdain for the whole world is ridiculously cool. The picture at the very bottom is posted with permission from the artist, QAQ. Ahhhhh, I could swoon over that outfit for the rest of my life!

A reimagining set in the world of Journey to the West.

The first-generation Handsome Monkey King is the 1961 version of Sun Wukong.

The second-generation Handsome Monkey King is the 1999 version of Sun Wukong.

The characters and plot development have all been reimagined. In other words... don't get hung up on whether it's OOC or not. That's all.

Story preview:

"I can't do anything at all." "That's because you're lazy and won't learn... All right, I won't say it."

"So if I ever get into danger, I'll have to wait for you to save me!" "Of course."

Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong.

She smiled and said, "You must keep me safe all my life."

With the Golden Cudgel in his hand, he walked ahead of the monk making the pilgrimage. Without realizing it, he tightened his grip. In his memory, his reply had been lazy, but every word rang clear and strong.

"Of course."
