A Chronicle of Heartbreak (Ancient Style)

The Buddha said: "Those who love desire are like people carrying a torch against the wind; they are bound to burn their hands." - The Sutra in Forty-Two Sections

This is a collection of short stories. Each story is between 10,000 and 100,000 characters long, and the style may vary from one to the next. There is at least one couple per story, with no upper limit.

The tops and bottoms range from gods, Buddhas, emperors, and generals to ghosts, monsters, commoners, and beggars. All the stories are wonderfully indulgent, with sweet, savory fillings. If they aren't indulgent, they're no fun. Let me say the important things three times: mild angst! Moderate angst! Heavy angst!

A few things to note:

1. Pick a story by its chapter title. Read whichever one you like.

2. None of these short stories will end with the tops and bottoms staying together for life and growing old together. That's too sweet and doesn't fit the heart-wrenching theme.

3. Each story has a different cast. The author is the only one who appears throughout the whole book; no character makes it from beginning to end.

4. These are personal fantasies, so please don't bash them if they're not your thing. The author's logic is weak, the ideas are occasionally weird, and I take no responsibility for anything that might shock you. Kisses!

5. The author has other unfinished stories, and all the historical-style ones will be moved into this book. Don't be surprised if you see chapters that also appear in other works. Kisses!
