His name is Chu Yi. He was once a major in the Kuomintang, the youngest graduate in the history of Whampoa Military Academy, and the recipient of countless awards. Now he is the company commander of the Fourth Company, Eleventh Battalion, of the advancing Red Army.
The other man is called Yan Chen. He used to be the most decent bandit in the region, robbing only the rich to help the poor. In his spare time, he'd come down the mountain to cadge food and drink from local families, or play a game of chess with the elders to pass the time. Now he is a new recruit in the Second Platoon, Second Company, Eleventh Battalion, of the advancing Red Army.
What sparks will fly between these two?
