Always by Your Side

Always by Your Side

This is an alternate-universe fanfic based on the Japanese manga D.Gray-man~~

Pairing: RK [Lavi x Yuu Kanda] >////<

Lavi and Kanda are just two kids who don't know how to express themselves.

Shy Kanda and sunny Lavi, fire and ice: their complementary personalities make them seem like a bickering couple...

But... even though their love runs deep, they have a hard life. Now and then, they lean on each other and get a taste of happiness. Yuu left Lavi, leaving him with only happy memories. Looking at the pair of rings, Lavi was left with a heart full of grief, tears unable to fall and blood welling inside. When Yuu returned, Lavi thought he saw hope, but in truth, greater pain awaited him...

At the ball meant for Lavi and Yuu, Lavi fell into a deep sleep...

The hatred in Lavi's eyes pierced Yuu's heart. By the time Lavi woke, it was too late. His final wish was simply to stay by Yuu's side...

Eternity, really... is that simple...

I close my eyes, and darkness quietly spreads, calling forth memories long buried... Biting my cold lips, I bury the moment I last saw you in the deepest part of my memory. I walk through the dark corridor, remembering your once-cold face...

Please don't say goodbye just like that. The thought of seeing you again, these feelings, these wounds that won't heal: please don't erase them... Because you are there...

Lavi

I want to believe that there is no endless night in this world, because you are here beside me...

Thank you.

I truly hope you can hear me say this...

Yuu Kanda
