First of all, I'm straight, or at least I was seven years ago. Actually, in a way, I still think of myself as straight. Even though I've lived with him for so many years, I'm not particularly interested in the handsome guys he sometimes shows me. I prefer beautiful women.
In 2007, I got a score a little over 390 out of 480 and was admitted to a fairly well-known university in Beijing. (The college entrance exam system changed in 2008, and the maximum score that year was 750.) My family could be considered a family of doctors: my grandparents and parents were all doctors, though my mother was a veterinarian. Most of my uncles and aunts were doctors or worked in related fields, too. And since my older brother hadn't studied medicine, my family wanted me to attend medical school. But I had no interest in studying medicine at all. I'm a pretty timid person, and I couldn't handle medical studies. So I chose a foreign language major. When my admission letter arrived, my grandmother simply tossed it to me, because they thought language studies were just about talking, and a man should earn his living with practical skills. So when I went to university, I was all alone, carrying my luggage to Beijing. What happened after that might be a little Mary Sue-ish, so you can just treat it as a story.
I don't know what to say, I'll keep watching.
