Dragon Clan: The Winner of Life

After watching Dragon Raja III, especially the scenes where Uesugi Yue remembered his mother and went to meet his death, I felt awful. He had spent his whole life as a coward. Even though he had the strongest bloodline, deep down he was still that romantic, lazy Frenchman, and he did everything in such a sloppy way that he was hardly fit to be an emperor. When the White King revived, he even sought out his old friend to escape Tokyo, because he didn't love this city at all. It had nothing to do with him.

But this man, who could be called a coward, instantly took on a hero's duty when he became a father. Like every worthy king and general in Japanese history, he held his funeral on the battlefield, meeting his end in a blaze of glory and with his head held high.

But in the end, he still failed in his duty. He hadn't looked after his sons, and they became tools in someone else's war. He didn't even know he had a lovely daughter, innocent and utterly adorable.

So I really want to write a story set in a parallel world, giving this tragic family a happy ending. Even if the world outside is still dark, just knowing that there are family members who need protecting can fill your heart with courage and warmth.

Well, Uesugi Yue is the real winner in life.
